The next-generation BMW X5 (codenamed G65), set to debut in summer 2026 as a 2027 model, will become the brand’s first production vehicle to offer five distinct powertrain options in a single lineup: traditional combustion engines, plug-in hybrids, a dedicated battery-electric iX5, and even a hydrogen fuel-cell variant arriving later.
